How To Travel Cheaply

Ever had the desire to quit your lame 9 to 5 job, tell your boss to shove it, pack up and start traveling the world?
All of us have had that desire at one point! The thing that stopped you was probably the same thing that stops most people: money.
“How will I pay for my flights, food, lodging, transportation, yada, yada, yada,” you asked yourself.
Don’t let these concerns bother you too much, because there is an underground, growing group of travelers who are utilizing some simple but hidden techniques to make significant incomes while traveling.
Here’s an overview of how we make money traveling and by landing travel jobs:
Underground Travel Income Method #1 – Traditional Travel Job - Hold a job that either a) pays for us to travel or b) is located in the place we wish to travel to. This is the lowest paying and most complicated method of all, but is the most commonplace.
Common jobs that pay for travels are for professional speakers, salespeople, package couriers, flight attendants, travel nurses/doctors, conservationists, cruise ship workers, etc.
Travel jobs located in the places we wish to go to can be any of the above, but also are specific to the location we travel to. There are some FUN jobs overseas that are looking for foreign workers!
Underground Travel Income Method #2 – Travel Writing – Travel writing jobs for magazines are more common than you may imagine. However, there are LOADS of other ways to write as you travel and make money, including blogging, picking up projects from sites like Elance and Guru, and writing travel guides, both online and offline.
Underground Travel Income Method #3 – Selling Affiliate Products – Using a simple website, you can drive online traffic to a product that will be of interest to your online followers. Don’t be intimidated by this! It can be as easy as using your very own Facebook or Myspace profile. Affiliate products typically pay 50% to 75%, so you can make a very healthy income for selling just a few objects.
Underground Travel Income Method #4 – Filming Your Adventures – If you’ve got the camera out and you’re taking pictures, why not switch it to ‘film’ mode and make money from it? You simply make a video of your destinations using iMovie or Windows Movie Maker, then use your videos to create a customer base!
Underground Travel Income Method #5 – Podcasting – If filming scares you off or intimidates you, you can make an iTunes podcast. It is easier than ever to get listed in iTunes and there’s a HUGE audience of podcast listeners. Simply talk about the places you visit two or three times a week and watch how your following grows… and how your bank account grows!
Underground Travel Income Method # 6 – Ebay – The common misconception about Ebay is that you have to sell a physical product to make money. Here’s the trick: You can set up a fulfillment house to ship your product (or hire your little sister or the neighborhood kid). All you have to do is create your Ebay post from an internet café and collect the money!
Take any one of these six ‘travel job’ methods, and there are hundreds of travelers all over the world making more money than they would at a regular ‘job…’ and they’re living it up at exotic, world-class destinations. Take your pick, and take action on the ideas here!

have all made a substantial internet income while traveling or they have been hired and paid well to travel the world and will show you how to do the same.
Or you can get a job on a cruise ship as a cashier, dealer, etc. my mom did that and she said it was one of the best jobs a person can have.
haha! that was great!
This is perfect, very convenient in today’s economy!
Although many people go in the summer or winter, try to go in the middle of the year. That's when the prices are cheap, but if you're in college, that might not be a flexible idea. Try priceline.com. It really helped for me!
Good luck!
Traveling on a budget would be the best way. Skip the fancy hotels, and 5 star dinners, that will certainly bust your budget if you can't afford it.
Staying at Bed and Breakfasts, Pensions, Apt style living (renting by the month, instead of daily), living among locals instead of high end resorts. Having your own kitchen to cook your meals and stock up on sundries is definitely a way to save. When you reach your destination, travel by bus, and train, instead of renting a car. Rent a bike or scooter, depending on your location.

I don't know about websites for airlines but you really should check out Couchsurfing. This website is great I have traveled all over and stayed at people's houses for FREE! Yep that is right for free! This website is amazing it is a bunch of fellow travelers all over the world that open their homes to other travelers. Sometimes they have a couch to sleep on and sometimes they have an extra room with a bed. I have met the greatest people by staying with them and most of my host have been able to take me out and show me the town. I am also a host and I have never had a problem with anyone staying in my home. Just be respectful of your host! I have saved so much money on hotels because of the wonderful people on this site. You can search profiles for the area that you are going to and find someone that shares your same interest. I really think you should check this out:

Hope this helps good luck!
If you mean JFK Airport, by public transport, you will first have to take the Airtrain from JFK to Jamaica station.
http://www.panynj.gov/airtrain/
When you reach Jamaica Station, you can switch to the E train (subway) bound for Manhattan. The E train will take you directly to the Port Authority Bus station.
http://www.mta.info/nyct/subway/index.html
Get off there and you will be able find New Jersey Transit buses that will take you to Caldwell. There are frequent bus services to Caldwell – about a 35 Minute ride on the bus route #29.

go swim to china then
Depends on the country… In Germany you are best off with public transportation, usually the trains go anywhere, the faster you want to get there the more expensive. ICE is the fastes and connects major cities, IC is still OK and goes pretty much to bigger towns too, after that there are regional trains. Pricing is acceptable for Europe. In the cities, you can get a week pass for most public transportation providers, this is the best when you stay a little longer in one place, if you stay only for a day or two get a day pass.
For Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, etc. good luck and learn to deal with delays and chaos. England, Ireland, Netherland, Belgium, Denmark are a littel similar to Germany. France, Austria, Switzerland are in the middle, their system does not cover all of it but still OK. Do not go to Poland, Hungary, Balkan, Turkey, etc. any unguided tour will end eventually at a police station, reporting something stolen, not working or simply got completely lost…
If you want to stay in the south, and are up for it, rent a motorcycle, scooter (must have for Italy), or Smart car (looks like a motorcycle sidecar, but is actually good for one person)
Have fun
cooll
did it already!
Your best bet is probably take a road trip. Hopefully, you have a reliable car. You can drive anywhere! Just make sure you have enough for gas, tolls, food, motel, etc. It might be a good idea to take a credit card that has no or a low balance, in case you run into an emergency- such as an unexpected car repair.
If you really want to keep costs down, just take day trips. Pick a direction and just drive & explore. You can come across things that you never knew even existed practically in your own backyard.
I don't know what kind of money you are looking to spend, but look into some all inclusive trip, such as a cruise (although these are not usually cheap). The good thing is that meals and enetertainment are not an extra expense.
haha NOODLE instead of GOOGLE
TRAIN of course, how can u travel through Russia hitchhiking, it is dangerous u know. There are many dangerous people, also Mafia.
Good luck though!
Your looking at a long drive across NY state… gas prices are high.. have you looked into bus travel? you can get on and off so its not just one long ass ride….the only other option i can think of is to look into teleportation, which may be very expensive and/or not invented yet
For Cheapest hotel around shopping area, try Caritas Bianchi Lodge. It's at Yau Ma Tei area and Temple Street, Jade Market and Ladies Market are all within walking distance from the hotel. The rates are from HK$500 for Twin Room / Double Bed Room.
Address: 4 Cliff Rd., Kowloon, Hong Kong. It's also only about 5 min walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR Station.
For Disneyland, from Caritas Bianchi Lodge, take the citybus no. R21 from Public Square Street, Nathan Road directly to Disneyland Public Transport Interchange. HK$32, approx. 40 min. Schedule: Every Monday to Friday: 08:50, 09:10. Every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 08:50, 09:10, 09:30. For outside this timing, you can take A21 to North Lantau Highway near Lantau Link Toll Gate (towards Airport) & transfer R8 to Disneyland Public Transport Interchange. A21: Hk$33, 40 min. R8: HK$7, 10 min.
From other places in Kowloon, New Territories, Lantau Island, Chek Lap Kok and from Shen Zhen, bus is a better bet as its more direct than taking MTR and the fare is more or less the same. For Shen Zhen, Chek Lap Kok and Lantau Island, this is the only way to access to Disneyland apart from coaches and taxi. From HK Island, however, MTR is cheaper and faster than bus. Take Island line to Central Station and walk to Hong Kong Station and transfer to Tung Chung line. Alight @ Sunny Bay Station and transfer again to Disneyland Resort line directly to Disneyland Station. Use the Octopus card will get you cheaper fare than cash.
Disney's Hollywood Hotel is cheaper with rates from HK$1,210 for Garden View for its value rate, compared to Hong Kong Disneyland's Hotel from HK$1,760 for same type as above.
You should go to travel agencies like Gray line Tours or China Travel Service (CTS) for cheaper tours than the Disneyland itself as its got better value package that may include others place nearby. They both also sell F&E package for Disneyland itself and the ticket itself too.
Hope the above can answer all your doubts on your question.
