Paris – France

Paris welcomes gays! With the blessing of many Paris citizens, gay culture is the fabric of trendy Le Marais.. Just spend a Sunday shopping in bustling gay Marais.
Paris has 20 Arrondissements or districts. Each Paris district has its own unique character, and it helps to understand the Paris districts. 16th, 17th, & 8th (Etoile, Arc de Triomphe, Champ-Elysees)If you want to be near the the Arc de Triomphe (at one end of the Ave. Champs Elysees).1st (Concorde, Tulieries, Louvre)to be near the Louvre, The most acclaimed museum. 9th (Opera)to be near the world famous Paris Opera, and the infamous Paris department stores Galleries Lafayette and Printemps.
6th (St. Germain) is the most requested Paris arrondissement because of the multitude of charming boutiques, restaurants, bars and art galleries. The 5th (Latin Quarter, Notre Dame ) is famous for Paris antiques, and its many restaurants and it proximity to Notre Dame. 4th (le Marais) is known as the pulse of Paris. Le Marais is the only Paris neighborhood happening on Sundays and best of all it is recognized as the mecca of gay Paris.
The best thing to do is avoid Paris hotels and book a vacation apartment in Paris. For luxury dwellers, check out Paris Luxe Apartments and those on a budget visit, Book Your Apt . Before you book, make sure to know exactly what you are renting. Most buildings in Paris have a courtyard of some sort. So something to consider if you are not from a big city, is to look for Paris apartments with bedrooms which face the courtyard, thus minimizing nighttime noise.
What floor? 1st floor, means you have to go up one floor (NOT the ground floor). Is there an elevator? Many buildings in Paris don’t have elevators, or have VERY small ones. If you are visiting Paris in the summer, find out if the Paris apartment has air conditioning (it is unlikely).
If not, make sure it is an old Paris building (made of stone), then open the windows first thing in the morning, and close the exterior window shades once the sun fully comes up. Most old Paris buildings can manage to stay cool for 24-36 hours. It is only if there is a heat wave where there may be a problem keeping a Paris apartment cool.
If you are visiting Paris in the fall, or winter check to find out how the Paris apartment is heated. If the Paris building is heated centrally, ask to find out if the heat will be turned on by the time you arrive. Paris apartments rarely have thermostats Usually Paris apartments are heated by radiating heat in front of windows.
Make sure you get all the details before making a commitment to rent a Paris apartment. How will you be paying? Is there a deposit, are you paying via cash, credit card or Paypal? How will you get the keys to the Paris apartment?
Do you have the cell phone number of the person in charge of your Paris apartment? Will someone be available to welcome you in your Paris apartment if you arrive on Sunday? If so, be prepared for how you will make calls once you arrive in Paris. And finally make sure to read the terms and conditions of your Paris Apartment contract very carefully.

you are crazy man
very nice video. almost perfect.
Paris is a bit cold, but worth it, in the month of December. The Eiffel tower is beautifully lit up every hour for the Christmas season, and the shop windows of Galerie LaFayette are interesting and lovely to see. I was there last Christmas and would love to be there again this year.
Have a wonderful trip wherever you go!
The airport's called Charles de Gaulle, people do have jobs but they're always on strike, um, nougat, people tend not to be religious, and in some cases religion is frowned upon (like Muslim schoolgirls aren't allowed to wear headscarves).
Not too many animals in Paris I don't think. Maybe swans on the river.
Edit: oh, yeah, dogs, in restaurants and everywhere (there are plenty of restaurants in Paris where dogs are more welcome than children)
You should visit Jim Morrison's grave in Pere LaChaise cemetery!
France finished. France is nation of Francs.
But today the French nation does not exist. France will be black and Muslim!
The europe identity is the White Race!

As almost all tour companies have tours to Paris it is hard to say.
Some tours are single clubs on the move, others will show you Paris as if you where one of a couple.
If you want to use a tour company, walk into your nearest travel agency and talk it over with them.
They will know what the different tour operators offer, and what are the options. And as they are payed out of what the tour operator would otherwise pocket himself, it is not more expensive.
If you just want to go sight seeing, Paris is a perfect place to go by yourself, use a guided tour (each hostel or hotel can help you to get one,) and use the metro to go from place to place later on.
If you want to go the kitschy route, fill up the basket with replicas of the Eiffel Tower, Napoleon and Les Invalides. But personally, I'd take a classier approach, and one that's consistent with your 'hot dog/Chicago' approach:
Fill your basket with baguettes, wonderful French cheeses, some pates and rillettes (with accompanying cornichons and moutardes, of course!); and most important, French wine. To add a whimsical touch, perch a black beret on top.
She'll know right away where she's going, and she'll have a lovely lunch to enjoy while she plans her activities in Paris.
Good luck!

it cost 90 cents to send a letter overseas. it costs 90 cents per ounce so if its moe than a regular letter it could be $1.80.

If you want to drive there it will take you between nine and ten hours. I did it myself about 15 years ago and don't think I would do it like that again though. Driving in Paris is absolutely crazy. I would suggest taking the train. They have special tickets for trips like that. The special is called 'Städtepässe in Europa', you would need the 'Paris Visite-Pass'. You get free use of the Métro, Bus and S-Bahn and also discounts for museums, restaurants and shopping. I'm sure your sister can give you some more information on that.
http://www.bahn.de/p/view/preise/international/paesse/angebote_europa.shtml (This is the website where you can buy the 'Paris Visite-Pass', it's in german though.)

(Maybe you want to check this out, it's in english.)
Make sure you get yourself a good travel guide about Paris too. Go to your local bookstore and check some of them out. Don't go without one, you'll regret it later.
I could go on and on but I'm sure once you check the travel guides you'll find all the information you need.
Don't forget to take your daughter to Schloß Neuschwanstein while you're already in Germany.
Here is the website: http://www.neuschwanstein.de/ (Click on the english version.)
Have a great trip and enjoy!
USPS Express Mail (EMS) is THE way to go. It's safe, trackable.
It would cost around $240 for 50 pounds, you even get 6% off if you print the postage online at USPS.com
Priority Mail is cheaper, $174.5 for 50 pounds but I don't think it's trackable thus not as safe as Express Mail, because you are shipping a BIKE and it must worth alot something.
Keep in mind that USPS' sizing limit: Max.length 60", max. length plus girth 108"
DON"T use UPS or FedEx. Yes I love them too, but too expensive and you might have to pay for customs (even shipping to yourself).
There's nothing cheaper then Priority Mail.
Hope this help.
My father was in France on holiday and lost his medicine (my mother's handbag was stolen) and he took a open prescription and the packaging/instructions of the medicine with them on holiday (not in the handbag fortunately).
With this, he was able to obtain a new refill. However, if you do not have an open prescription, then the pharmacist may well refuse to give you the medicine if it is also prescription-only in France.
However, pop into a local one (the head Pharmacist will more than likely speak a reasonable level of English) and they will be able to confirm what the procedure is without this. Take along the packaging, instructions and any other confirmation you have concerning the medicine.
Good luck
